  1. This is the story of El Lute
  2. A man who was born
  3. to be hunted like a wild animal
  4. Because he was poor
  5. But he refused to accept his fate
  6. And today his honor has been restored

  8. He was only nineteen
  9. And he was sentenced to die
  10. For something that somebody else did
  11. And blamed on El Lute
  12. Then they changed it to life
  13. And so he could escape
  14. From then on they chased him
  15. And searched for him day and night
  16. all over Spain
  17. But the search was in vain for El Lute

  19. He had only seen the dark side of life
  20. The man they called El Lute
  21. And he wanted a home
  22. just like you and like me
  23. In a country where all 
  24. would be free
  25. So he taught himself 
  26. to read and to write
  27. It didn't help El Lute
  28. He was one who had dared 
  29. to escape overnight
  30. They had to find El Lute

  32. Soon the fame of his name
  33. Spread like wild fire all over the land
  34. With a price on his head
  35. People still gave him bread
  36. And they gave him a hand
  37. For they knew he was right
  38. And his fight was their fight

  40. No one gave you a chance
  41. In the Spain of those days
  42. On the walls every place 
  43. they had put up
  44. The face of El Lute
  45. And he robbed where he could
  46. just like once Robin Hood
  47. They finally caught him and
  48. That seemed the end
  49. But they caught him in vain
  50. Cause a change came 
  51. for Spain
  52. And El Lute

  54. He had only seen the dark 
  55. side of life
  56. The man they called El Lute
  57. And he wanted a home
  58. just like you and like me
  59. In a country where all would be free
  60. And then freedom really came to his land
  61. And also to El Lute
  62. Now he walks in the light
  63. of a sunny new day
  64. The man they called El Lute



  1. Tohle je příběh o El Lute
  2. Muž, který se narodil,
  3. aby byl loven jako divoké zvíře.
  4. Protože byl chudý.
  5. Ale on odmítl přijmout svůj osud.
  6. A dnes byla jeho čest obnovena.

  8. Bylo mu teprve devatenáct.
  9. A byl odsouzen k smrti.
  10. Pro něco, co udělal někdo jiný.
  11. A obvinili El Lute.
  12. Pak to změnili na život.
  13. A tak mohl utéct.
  14. Od té doby ho pronásledovali.
  15. A hledali ho dnem i nocí
  16. po celém Španělsku.
  17. Ale pátrání po El Lute bylo marné.

  19. Viděl jen temnou stránku života.
  20. Ten muž, na kterého volali El Lute.
  21. A chtěl domov
  22. právě tak, jako Ty a já.
  23. V zemi, v níž by všichni 
  24. mohli být svobodní.
  25. Tak se učil 
  26. číst a psát.
  27. To nepomohlo El Lute
  28. On byl jediný, kdo se odvážil
  29.  prchat nocí.
  30. Museli najít El Lute

  32. Brzy se sláva jeho jména
  33. Rozšířila zemí jako divoký oheň.
  34. Přes odměnu za jeho hlavu
  35. lidé mu stále dávali chléb.
  36. A podávali mu ruku.
  37. Protože věděli, že byl v právu.
  38. A jeho boj byl jejich bojem.

  40. Nikdo Ti nedával šanci
  41. V těch dnech ve Španělsku.
  42. Na stěnách na každém místě 
  43. postavili
  44. Tvář El Lute
  45. A on loupil, kde mohl
  46. docela jako kdysi Robin Hood.
  47. Nakonec ho chytili a
  48. To vypadalo jako konec
  49. Ale chytili ho zbytečně.
  50. Protože přišla změna 
  51. pro Španělsko
  52. A El Lute

  54. Viděl jen temnou 
  55. stránku života.
  56. Muž, kterého zvali El Lute.
  57. A chtěl domov
  58. právě tak, jako Ty a já.
  59. V zemi, v níž by všichni mohli být svobodní.
  60. A pak svoboda opravdu přišla do jeho země.
  61. A také pro El Lute
  62. Teď kráčí vstříc světlu
  63. slunečného nového dne.
  64. Ten muž, na kterého volali El Lute.
